About me

I am professor in theoretical molecular physics and presently I am the director of studies at the Physics department at Stockholm University.

As a director of studies I am deeply involved in questions regarding teaching. Additionally, I am presently teaching a course in Atomic and Molecular Physics given for students in the third year at the bachelor programs in physics, astronomy and in the teacher education program.

Previously I have been giving courses in Quantum Mechanics, Molecular Physics, Physics I (preparatory course in physics) and Acoustics and Physics for adiology students.

I perform computations of molecular processes that have in common that highly excited states are involved. The degrees of freedom of the system are then correlated and the molecular dynamics becomes more complex. It is a challenge to theoretically describe these apparently simple processes involving small molecular systems. By close collaborations with experimental groups, I can test my theoretical models. Reactions I study include charge-transfer reaction occurring when oppositely charged ions collide (mutual neutralization), dissociative recombination occurring when a molecular ion recombines with an electron or the molecular dynamics occurring upon photon absorption.
