About me
Anastasios (Tasis) Kapodistrias comes from the island of Zakynthos, Greece and holds a BSc degree in Physics (sector of Astrophysics) and a Master in Science Education from the University of Athens. He has also worked several years as a Physics teacher in upper secondary education and a Physics lab instructor for teacher training undergraduate students. Currently, he is a PhD student in Stockholm University, in the field of Astronomy Education.
Tasis is part of a paired PhD project ("pardoktorand") among the Department of Teaching & Learning and the Department of Astronomy at Stockholm University. He collaborates with another PhD student in Astronomy and investigates how Astronomy knowledge is constructed and mediated through the use of representations. The focus is on representations of large-scale structures in the universe that are used in research and presented in higher education Astronomy, both to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
