Carolina is a graduate student at the IIES since 2018 but first joined the IIES in 2016 as a research assistant. She holds a Master's degree in Economics from Stockholm University and a MSc in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, where she was awarded Female Economist of the Year in 2009. Before joining the IIES, Carolina worked as a political advisor to the Swedish Minister for Finance, as a negotiator at the Ministry of Finance's budget office and as an economist at Pfizer pharmaceuticals. Her research interests are in macroeconomics and economic policy.
