Research
In my thesis, I investigate the discursive relation between notions of architectural aesthetics and environmental sustainability as it plays out in a number of recent texts in architectural theory. More specifically, I look at negotiations and (re-)conceptualizations of the notion of aesthetics that take shape within a tripartite discursive interplay between notions of sustainability, aesthetics and nature and/or the natural, in architectural theory at the beginning of the twenty-first century.
