About me

I defended my thesis in 2024 at Lund University with the dissertation Universal Design in Practice: Understanding, Implementation and Co-Creation. The focus was collaboration for inclusive urban development. I employed ethnographic methods with interviews, workshops and participatory observation in three Swedish municipalities. After the dissertation, I coordinated a focus group on the path to work for migrants with disabilities, then using Appreciative inquiry as a method. I am now also working on a study on the development of assistive technology in Sweden during the second half of the 1900s. Innovation climate, user participation and welfare policy are themes that are touched on there. At Stockholm University, I am working within the project "Living conditions from adolescence to old age for people with disabilities" together with Professor Dan-Olof Rooth. I coordinate our contacts with companies, organizations and individuals.

Research

My research strives to understand and make society more inclusive for people with disabilities. My thesis dealt with local collaboration for more accessible cities. After my dissertation, I have worked with the history of assistive devices, how they were created and used from the birth of the welfare society until today. At Stockholm University, I work with issues of an inclusive labour market together with Dan-Olof Rooth, Professor of Economics.
