About me
I'm the head of the National Reference Laboratory for Air Quality - measurements, also called Reflab. We are a support function for the Swedish municipalities on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) with dynamic team of experts dedicated to:
1. Guidance and Quality Assurance: Reflab shoulders the responsibility of guiding municipalities on technical aspects related to air quality measurements. As part of this role, we conduct site visits to perform inspections, ensuring the maintenance of a harmonized national measurement network.
2. Instruments: We evaluate applications for instrument approval, and our assessments serve as the foundation for decisions made by the SEPA regarding the approval of instruments for national air quality monitoring. Additionally, Reflab conducts ongoing verification of automatic instruments measuring particulate matter to ensure they meet Sweden's unique environmental conditions and requirements.
3. National Standards: Reflab is dedicated to providing tracable national standards for the most critical air pollutants. We are proud to be accredited according to ISO 17025, demonstrating our commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality in our work.
4. International Collaboration: As part of our mission, we actively participate in international collaborations. We represent Sweden in various expert and working groups within the European Union and the Nordic region, contributing to the global conversation on air quality.
