About me
I am a PhD student in Demography at the University of Rome - La Sapienza. Currently I am spending three months at Stockholm University Demography Unit, SUDA, Department of Sociology (until late May 2018), working on a chapter in my PhD thesis. My MSc and BA are both in Statistics, from the University of Florence.
Research
My overall research interest is the impact of economic uncertainty on fertility. Within my PhD thesis, I am performing a bayesian meta-analysis to organise, merge and synthesise all the available evidence on this topic (with respect to Europe). During my stay in Stockholm I am working on a specific part of my thesis, aiming to understand how the Great Recession has affected migrants’ fertility, with respect to natives’ fertility, comparing Sweden and Italy.
