About me

Gustav Martinsson is a Professor of Finance at Stockholm University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Royal Institute of Technology.

Teaching

Gustav’s teaching has mostly been in Corporate Finance, both at the bachelor's and master's level. He has also taught in financial intermediation, green economics, sustainability, and quantitative business analytics.

Research

Gustav's research interests are in the intersection of corporate finance, sustainability, and the real economy. The sustainability focus is mostly through studying how carbon pricing and environmental regulation impact corporations and to what extent these policies correct for the "climate market failures". Gustav also conducts research on how the supply of finance affects firm-level innovation activities.

He has published in journals such as Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science.
