Ongoing research
As director of the Institute for Urban history I will focus on different aspects of towns' representation in a long historical perspective. A part of this interest concerns local cultures of commemoration, and the contradictory process of (de-) urbanization in Sweden. For now, I am finishing a study on the Baltic Sea regions' communication infrastructure in the seventeenth century.
