Habib RostamiNordita Assistant Professor
About me
I am a theorist in condensed matter physics expert in quantum transport and quantum many-body problems stemming from disorder, electron-phonon and Coulomb interactions. I study fundamental theoretical problems in quantum matters with the microscopic description of realistic properties in material science. My main research experiences are on effective microscopic modelling of two-dimensional (2D) materials such as graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and their heterostructures. Among my research activities, I would like to mention nonlinear optical probing of collective modes and phase transitions in 2D materials. From the technical aspect, I use analytical tools such as Quantum Field Theory, Green’s functions and Feynman diagrams, Ward’s identities, Quantum Kinetic Theory, many-body self-energies and effective low-energy models by employing mixed analytical-numerical techniques. I enjoy collaborating with experimental groups.
