About me

I am a doctoral student under the research school Relevancing Mathematics and Science Education (RelMaS) at the Department of Teaching and Learning of Stockholm University. My research project is entitled “Teaching and Learning Mathematics in a Second Language: Workings of Coloniality in the Philippines”. I am interested on the role of language(s) in the epistemic access to mathematics. 

I have a master’s degree in mathematics education that I took at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea. I taught secondary level mathematics in the Philippines.

My areas of interest include multilingualism in teaching and learning mathematics and understanding this through the lens of decoloniality.
