About me

My educational background is in criminology, and prior to my doctoral studies, I conducted research on digital drug markets and the role of drug use within Swedish rave culture. My primary research interest is in the meanings ascribed to illegal substances by individuals, subcultures, and society as a whole.

Currently, my thesis delves deeper into this exploration, as I examine the multifaceted meanings associated with illegal substances in three distinct contexts of contemporary society: psychedelic self-development, rave culture, and nightlife.
