About me

I am a Senior Lecturer (lektor) in University Physics Education at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education.

I am also a Reader (docent) in Physics Education Research at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University, Sweden.

I currently divide my time between Stockholm and Uppsala working on two major projects funded by the Swedish Research Council. The first project compares physics teacher education across four countries: Sweden, Finland, Singapore and England. The second project examines the use of various semiotic resources (e.g. graphs, diagrams, algebra, language) in the teaching and learning of university physics.

My main research interests focus on disciplinary differences in higher education and the use of language and other semiotic resources in university physics.

I am the main supervisor for three PhD students in Physics Education Research.

Currently, my teaching consists of courses for university science lecturers and PhD students in Physics.
