About me

I am a Senior Lecturer (lektor) in University Science Education at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education.

I am also a Reader (docent) in Physics Education Research at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University and a Senior Lecturer (lektor) in English for Specific Purposes at the Department of Languages, Linnaeus University, Kalmar, Sweden.

I currently divide my time between Stockholm and Uppsala working on two major projects funded by the Swedish Research Council. The first project compares physics teacher education across four countries: Sweden, Finland, Singapore and England. The second project examines the use of various semiotic resources (e.g. graphs, diagrams, algebra, language) in the teaching and learning of university physics.

My main research interests focus on disciplinary differences in higher education and the use of language and other semiotic resources in university physics.

I am the main supervisor for four PhD students.

Currently, my teaching consists of courses for university teachers and PhD students.
