About me
My main tasks consist of supporting and developing operations at TRS on-site, with a focus on daily station operations and fieldwork in the station's nearby and distant areas. TRS's geographical location means that the everyday logistics of the operations at the station and in the field must be planned long-term in a way that minimizes the impact on the fragile Arctic environment around TRS. I work towards making TRS an internationally leading glacier center, where interdisciplinary research of the highest quality on the high alpine mountain environment in Sweden, climate change, and the world's cryosphere is conducted and communicated more broadly than just within academia. Specifically, this means creating the best possible conditions for both TRS guests and staff to carry out innovative research and/or teaching projects both in the field around the station and in the surrounding area, as well as at the station. In my role at TRS, I strive to utilize the research conducted at TRS so that it can benefit especially local communities and local stakeholders in the TRS area.
I am responsible for the maintenance of the station's resources with a focus on vehicles, instruments and equipment, and for coordinating the optimal use of these resources. I also plan and lead field operations that TRS conducts itself or that TRS visitors carry out.
