My name is Josefine and I am a Ph.D. student in Gender Studies at Stockholm University and in the Graduate School “Gender, Humanities and Digital Culture”. I have a background in diversity studies, gender studies and media and communication studies.
My PhD research project is based on my theoretical interest on gender studies, critical whiteness studies and the desire of the past. To connect this into a digital culture I investigate the concept of the digital housewife as a cultural phenomenon in a retrotopic era and through a postfeminist sensibility.
The Research School Gender, Humanities and Digital Culture, which is partly funded by the Swedish Research Council, is a collaboration between the gender studies units at Stockholm University, Uppsala University and Södertörn University. A total of nine doctoral students are included, all of whom were admitted in the fall of 2023.
