About me

I am a PhD Student at the Department of Education, Stockholm University with a research interest in education in prison. In my dissertation project I am exploring how education in the Swedish prison system has emerged and changed over time. I am also interested in the pedagogical staff’s experiences of working in prison and how they support their students' learning. The project will hopefully even include the prisoners’ perspectives and shed light on the meaning of education for them and their reasons for participating respectively not participating in education while incarcerated.
