About me

I am a PhD student at the Department of Sociology at Stockholm University as of September 2021. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at Lund University, and I attended the Master’s program of Sociology at Stockholm University before joining the PhD programme.

My doctoral research is at the junction of the sociology of emotions, class and culture. I am currently exploring the realms of divergent contemporary cybercultures and their accompanying technological landscapes, with a growing focus on the manosphere. The research aims to examine which conditions enabled this social phenomenon to bloom in the 21th century, and how its inherent complex ethos has been spreading from webpages into collective consciousness.

Research interests

My broader interests largely pertain to cultural aesthetics, politicization, sexuality, pop culture, masculinity and qualitative methods.
