About me
I am an Associate Professor and a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Linnaeus University, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Department of Psychology, in Växjö, Sweden. My primary research interests lie in music psychology and positive psychology. My activities have focused on expertise and skill learning, explaining musical emotions, as well as the biological mechanisms underlying intrinsic motivation and the psychological flow experience. I am the principal investigator for an intervention study to evaluate the efficacy of choral singing on cognitive functioning and psychological well-being, as well as the underlying neural mediating mechanisms, in the elderly. This project is conducted in collaboration with Professor Håkan Fischer, Stockholm University, Department of Psychology.
