About me


I am Associate Professor at the Centre for Research on Bilingualism. I am active in a number of fields, including sociolinguistics,  bi/multilingualism, science studies, and sociology of knowledge and education. At Stockholm University, I am The Faculty of Humanities' representative in the think tank Humtank, Research Coordinator at the Department for Swedish Language and Multilingualism, and Luke Holmes' thesis advisor at the Centre for Research on Bilingualism.

I am additionally researcher at the Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and affiated with the SEC research group (Sociology of Education and Culture) at Uppsala University. Project and network involvement include:

2021 I teach on the course Bilingualism from an Educational Perspective.

Previously (2020) I taught on Bilingualism from a Disciplinary and History of Ideas Perspective (PhD program), Sociolinguistic Perspectives on Multilingualism, Bilngualism – masters thesis course: Qualitative approaches to bi/multilingualism research, Independent Thesis Project in Swedish as a Second Language, The Dynamics of Multilingualism: Dislocations (PhD program), Sociolinguistic Research on Multilingualism.
