About me
I'm mainly interested in study the forces that shape the genetic variation across the genome.
Previously, during my PhD (University of Neuchâtel and Basel) I analyzed the genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) diversity across the Arabidopsis lyrata spp. lyrata geographic distribution and to detect genetic mechanisms underlying adaptation to climatic variables.
Currently, my project is to study the impact of linked selection on the whole-genome of different Brassicaceae species. I will compare the strength and type of linked selection (background selection Vs recurrent selective sweep) in the species taking into account the different mating system.
