I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Baltic Sea Centre, Stockholm University. My expertise lies in aquatic biogeochemistry, geomicrobiology, electromicrobiology, and reactive transport modelling.
The main impetus of my current project is to integrate biogeochemical, metabolic, and geomicrobial data to investigate sedimentary methane dynamics across coastal environments with contrasting depositional environments and bottom water redox conditions.
To achieve this, I am using a combination of physical, biogeochemical, and microbial field data complimented with reactive transport modelling, which allows to better predict how methane dynamics will respond to internal changes, such as organic matter loading, iron input, and bottom water deoxygenation.
