About me

My research focuses on understanding the biodegradation of organic micropollutants by microbial communities in both natural and engineered systems. Through a combination of field sampling and laboratory experiments, I aim to explore how ecological engineering and nature-based strategies impact microbial communities and their capacity to remove micropollutants from water systems. My goal is to contribute to the restoration of freshwater ecosystems globally, enhancing ecosystem services to protect both water quality and biodiversity. I look forward to participating in interdisciplinary research collaborations and helping to inform restoration programs, policies, and management practices.
