About me
I am a PhD student at the Institute for Solar Physics where I am studying solar explosive events. Eruptions on the Sun can cause e.g. coronal mass ejections that often collide with Earth's magnetosphere, causing pertubations in the terrestrial magnetic field and geomagnetic storms. The study of solar explosive events is important since these eruptions are the driving factor in space weather, i.e. how Earth is affected by the time varying conditions in the Solar System.
