About me
My research focuses on the development of legal method from the 18th century onwards. Based on the established principles of legal argumentation, various forces controlling the legal method’s development are analysed, for example, the ongoing internationalisation of the law, harmonisation of European private law, criticism levelled at legal positivism, and the importance of legal doctrine for the doctrine of legal sources. Currently, the relationship between legal method and various social factors, especially those of class and sex, constitutes the primary area of my of my research.
