About me

Oleksandr Kyriienko is a Ukrainian theoretical physicist working in the fields of quantum optics and condensed matter physics. He obtained a PhD degree from the University of Iceland in September 2014, working in the area of semiconductor quantum optics and polaritonics. During the research career Oleksandr has had extended visits to many research institutions around the globe, including NTU in Singapore, Nordita in Sweden, IIP in Brazil, and KITP in California. From 2014 to 2017 he worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Currently Oleksandr is a Fellow at Nordita. His main research directions comprise quantum dynamics, superconducting quantum circuits and quantum simulators, with a main goal being development of efficient algorithms for the nearest future quantum chips.
