About me

Pinar was born in Stockholm in 1974. She moved to Istanbul with her family when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul in 1996 and became an architect. In September 1996 she started working as a consultant and administrator at Business Sweden, which is the trade office of the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul and worked at the same workplace until September 2018. She was responsible for office administration, invoicing and reporting of cash reports. In addition to administration, she also worked with sales, booked meetings, built relationships with clients, took part in various projects, and handled all service related to the trade commissioner and the entire team’s administrative needs. She was also responsible for the administration of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Istanbul, which was established in 1997. In August 2018, she moved to Stockholm with her family. She started working at SUITS on December 1, 2018. She is responsible for information dissemination, gives advice and support to colleagues and foreign guest researchers within the institute. She also assists the director with appointment scheduling and schedule management, as well as preparations for trips, meetings, seminars, events and projects.
