About me

I will graduate as MSc in Computational Social Science from The Institute for Analytical Sociology in the summer 2020. In my research I use various computational methods and approaches with big data to study topics related to inequality, segregation and life-course events. My background is in the field of social welfare, from where I have obtained both a bachelor’s degree and work experience.

My work at SUDA at the Department of Sociology is in a research assistant role in the project "Childhood psychosocial and environmental predictors of crime and victimization across life" with Amber Beckley. Currently I am working on my master’s thesis where I use longitudinal register data from The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare to study individual and intergenerational predictors for unemployment in early adulthood using supervised machine learning methods. From autumn 2020 onwards I will continue on a similar path as a PhD student at SUDA with an affiliation to the project “Understanding society through register-based machine learning” at Linköping University with Maria Brandén.
