About me

I have graduated as MSc in Computational Social Science from The Institute for Analytical Sociology in 2020. In my research I use various computational methods and approaches with big data to study topics related to inequality, segregation and life-course events. Previously I have obtained both a bachelor’s degree and work experience in the field of social welfare.

As a PhD student at SUDA I study life trajectories and life outcomes using machine learning techniques and population register data. I am continuing along the lines of my master's thesis, where I used longitudinal birth cohort data from The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare to study individual and intergenerational predictors for unemployment in early adulthood, using supervised machine learning algorithms. I also have an affiliation to the project Understanding society through register-based machine learning at Linköping University with Maria Brandén. In addition, I work in the project Childhood psychosocial and environmental predictors of crime and victimization across life with Amber Beckley.
