About me

I am PhD student at the Department of Chemistry, Stockholm University, working under the supervision of Professor Aji P. Mathew. My research focuses on developing nanocellulose-based materials for water treatment, with a special interest in understanding their surface interactions, structural dynamics, and chemistry using advanced in-situ synchrotron techniques. Before starting my PhD, I completed both my MPhil and Bachelor's degrees at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, where I built a strong foundation in biodegradable polymers and nanomaterials synthesis, specially for applications like water purification.
