About me
Originally trained in communication and management, I hold an MBA in Marketing from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a B.A. in Social Communication/Journalism from Unisant’Anna, both in Brazil. After moving to Sweden, I redirected my career toward education, completing two master’s degrees: one in International and Comparative Education at Stockholm University and another in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education at Malmö University.
My doctoral research explores how adult migrants learn Swedish in both formal and informal educational contexts, with a particular focus on comparing distance and face-to-face instruction. The aim is to investigate how learners’ social interactions and everyday experiences foster language development, as well as how they develop their own learning strategies.
Alongside my academic work, I am an active member of the TED Talks community through my work with TEDxStockholm. In this role, I help design and deliver events that bring together forward-thinking individuals who share transformative ideas in technology, education, design, and related fields. These events provide a dynamic platform for dialogue and the exchange of knowledge, inspiring new ways of thinking and learning.
