Tony Apéria

About me

Dr Apéria started his academic career as one of the first in Sweden who in 2001 received a doctorate in the field of Brand Management. Today his teaching and research experience covers Brand Management, Reputation, Sustainability and Business Model Innovation.

Tony has a broad practical experience and he has been working with leading companies in different sectors, such as banking, finance, energy and retailing. In 2008 and 2012 he was the co-author of Strategic Brand Management European edition with Professor Kevin L Keller. Dr Apéria has a wide experience of projective methods. He has more than 20 years of experience of Brand personality research.

In 2003 he introduced annual reputation metrics in Sweden. During the period 2003-2013 he was the Swedish representative of Reputation Institute. In 2003 he founded Nordic Brand Academy, partly owned by Stockholm University.

At Stockholm Business School he is responsible for the Strategic Marketing module at the EMBA-program and the Brand Management and Sustainable Business Model course. He has more than 15 years of experience of executive education.

In 2017 he initated the SU Business Model Cup. The purpose of the competition is to enable students, researchers and employees at Stockholm University to develop sustainable business models. The competition is held every semester and it is open for all departments at Stockholm University. This diversity is the strength of SU Business Model Cup.
