The Marine Geology group studies the geology and history of the oceans through analyses of marine sediment archives and submarine landforms.

About me

I am a PhD student interested in paleoceanography and paleoclimate modelling. Currently, I am working on understanding the ocean circulation during the Miocene epoch (~23-5 Ma). I analyse climate model simulations to study the state of the ocean and what processes affect its circulation. I am interested in knowing how the changing oceanographic gateways during the Miocene affected the ocean circulation pathways.
