Research

The topic of my PhD project Diktens gyllne dar: Den pastorala koden i svensk litteratur 1753–1876 (The Golden Days of Poetry: The Pastoral Code in Swedish Literature 1753–1876) is the different functions of pastoral in Swedish literature from the Mid-Eighteenth Century to the second half of the Nineteenth Century. I am particularly interested in themes such as temporality, genre, protofeminism and patriotism. My dissertation will examine writings by Hedvig Charlotta Nordenflycht (1718–1763), Gustaf Philip Creutz (1731–1785), Erik Johan Stagnelius (1793–1823), Julia Nyberg/Euphrosyne (1785–1854) and Magnus Elmblad (1848–1888), among others.
