About me

I completed my doctoral study in 2022 at The University of Queensland with a focus on the fate of organic contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products, in urban wastewater systems. The mass balance and partitioning behaviour of target chemicals were investigated for sewer, biological wastewater treatment, and sludge digestion processes. I joined ACES as a postdoctoral research fellow in July 2023 and now am studying the biodegradation of organic chemicals in aquatic environments through a combination of laboratory and field studies. Meanwhile, I am also extending my expertise acquired during my doctoral study to explore factors affecting biodegradation of organic chemicals during wastewater treatment processes.
