The Climate and Environmental History Seminar welcomes Professor Samuel White, University of Helsinki.
The talk will analyze when and how we can attribute societal impacts to climatic
variability or change. It will explain how legal theories of causation could help
resolve practical questions and debates in history and historical sciences.
Sam White is professor of political history at the University of Helsinki and author of books and articles on climate history and interdisciplinary methods.
