Research group Leopold IIag reserach group
Research in the Ilag lab is interdisciplinary and span the areas of biophysics, chemical biology, analytical chemistry and environmental science.
Group description
The research areas can be roughly divided into the following overall topics:
Native Mass Spectrometry
Biophysical studies of non-covalent macromolecular complexes.
Chemical Ecology
Bioanalytical studies of biologically active molecules and their effect on the environment.
Novel Analytical Techniques
Development of sample preparation methods and ambient ionization techniques.
Leopold Luna Ilag is also a visiting professor at the Medical University of Lublin in Poland where he collaborates with Anna Sroka-Bartnicka on multimodal imaging of biomolecules using
FTIR/RAMAN microscopy and MALDI Imaging.
