Research group PAG - Postdoctoral Archaeological Group
PAG is a research group for postdoctoral researchers at the Department of Archaeology and Classical Studies at Stockholm University.
Group description
One of the group’s aims is to regularly organize and initiate discussion on relevant issues and to organize theme days and workshops. These events have occurred in larger or smaller format with participants both from the department as well as invited guests, with irregular intervals since the year 2008 onwards. 2021 the PAG took a more international approach and opened the call for postdoctoral scholars across Europe. Topics discussed at previous PAG workshops include:
- Burial Archaeology in the Twenty-first Century
- Archaeologies of Sensory Perception
- The Pasts and Futures of Gender Research
- Processes and courses of events in archaeology and cultural history
- Archaeological approaches to the concepts of possession
- Environmental Humanities
- Fragmentation in Archaeological Context
