Research project Trans Healthcare for Youth
– on the legal preconditions and limits of young patients´self-determination and participation
An LL.D. project on young patients´ rights to self-determination and participation in trans healthcare for youth. A central aim of the project is to analyse the the rights and responsibilities of young patients, trans healthcare professionals, and legal guardians in medical decision-making, with regard to medical uncertainties and risks related to gender dysphoria, such as regret and detransition.
