International Relations
Within the subject area of International Relations we study how the international system works politically, economically and culturally, its historical development and changing power relations over time.
International Relations at Stockholm University is organized into three sub-disciplines, around which our education and research is focused: international security, international institutions, and international political economy. All are concerned with the power, order, and organization of global cross-border relations.
Research in international relations at the university is dynamic, open and interdisciplinary. Our rapidly expanding research environment has the ambition to create conditions for research that both encompasses broad areas and more specialized studies.

International Political Economy
International political economy at our department examines the problems arising from the interaction of international politics, international economics, different social systems, and different societal groups that span the international system.
