Research subject Cultural politics
The focus of research on cultural politics is the role of the performing arts in politics with a special focus on audience research.
The area of “audience development” is one of the specializations. Other important aspects are questions of representation, that is, who is allowed to be onstage and how the grants for the performing arts area are distributed. Cultural sociological and power-critical perspectives are applied in the research.
