Project Course in AI and Language
The project course in AI and language gives you the opportunity to conduct an independent research project in language technology with a focus on text or speech data. The course offers a chance to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, within academia, organizations, or the industry.
During the course you will undertake a research project within the subject area. This project gives you the opportunity to:
- Explore Theoretical Foundations - Dive deep into the theoretical framework and understand the fundamental principles and theories underlying your project.
- Formulate Research Questions - Identify and define key research questions that guide your project.
- Analyze Previous Research - Conduct a comprehensive literature review to map out previous work and state-of-the-art within your chosen area.
- Apply Methods - Learn to select and apply appropriate research methods to effectively address your research questions.
- Evaluate and Compare - Critically evaluate your research findings in relation to existing studies and theories.
- Present Your Work - Develop skills in communicating your results, both in writing and orally, in a professional and convincing manner.
The project can be carried out either within an academic environment at the university or in a more applied context at companies, government agencies, or organizations. This provides you with a unique opportunity to establish valuable contacts and gain insight into how AI and language technology are used in real life.
