Method Project

Method Project builds upon the student's experience of method application from previous methodology courses. This means that tuition and exercises are partially individualised, with varying focus on quantitative or qualitative methods. The course includes method exercises in the form of limited pilot studies based on research questions formulated by the students, with combinations of methods in focus. The purpose of the course is to give students applied skills within at least two methods relevant to Media and Communication research.

Course structure
The course run half pace at 50% during second half of the semester.
Teaching takes the form of tutoring, exercises and seminars. All teaching is compulsory. Assignments and opposition on another student's project report constitute compulsory assignments.
After completing the course, the student has - in-depth knowledge of key methodological issues in media and communication studies, - the ability to apply at least two different methods in media communication studies, - the ability to relate critically to these, and others, methods and to their own research results.
