Compounds of special interest are those exhibiting hazards to human health and the environment, including carcinogens and compounds with toxic, fouling, contact allergenic and/or oxidative properties. Examples are textile-related chemicals, polycyclic aromatic compounds on emissions particles and in ambient air, cosmetic and household product related chemicals, chemicals in new materials.
