Las emociones y las intimidades suelen ser consideradas como aspectos subjetivos, internos e imprecisos, al margen de las estructuras sociales. Sin embargo, esta presentación propone abordarlas como dimensiones fundamentales en la construcción de lo social, explorando sus hibridaciones con lo institucional y lo racional, y su papel en las sociedades latinoamericanas contemporáneas.

Santiago Canevaro, Doctor en Ciencias Sociales, magíster en Antropología Social (EIDAES/UNSAM) y sociólogo (UBA).
Es investigador adjunto del CONICET, docente del EIDAES/UNSAM y del Programa de Antropología Social y Política de FLACSO/Argentina. Coordina el Núcleo de Estudios sobre Intimidades, Política y Sociedad (EIDAES/UNSAM).

The research seminar on Latin American studies is open to scholars interested in Latin American issues. It welcomes the presentation of papers from researchers and PhD students from different social science disciplines.

The seminar takes place on Fridays every second week (odd numbers) at the Library of the Institute of Latin American Studies (House B, Floor 5).
