Om mig

I’m a Phd student in John Fitzpatrick’s lab, studying colour evolution. I am combining phylogenetic and experimental approaches to investigate how selection has shaped the tremendous diversity in animal colouration and patterns.

In my current project, I am examining how distinct markings have evolved in Batoids, and what their function is. I am examining where distinct markings have evolved on a phylogenetic tree, and experimentally testing Brown-banded Bamboo sharks and Lemon sharks innate response to these markings.
