I am a researcher specialising in ocean colour remote sensing, currently investigating how optical remote sensing satellite data can be used to measure key water quality parameters in the Baltic Sea across both space and time. My project is concerned with investigating the effects of environmental change on phytoplankton phenology in the region.
During my PhD, I developed and validated novel methodologies for the retrieval of optically active water constituents and properties, specifically within the NW Baltic Sea and the western Irish Sea regions.
My expertise lies in remote sensing, having passed my PhD disputation in Geocomputation (Ocean Colour Remote Sensing) in May 2025 (currently awaiting conferral). I also hold a MSc in GIS and Remote Sensing, and a BA in Geography and English.
Undervisning
During my MSc and PhD, I worked part-time as a tutor and demonstrator for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Forskning
Currently, my research focuses on ocean colour remote sensing in the Baltic Sea region. More broadly, I have research interests in multispectral and hyperspectral remote sensing, LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS, and machine learning.
