Thomas Mikaelsen is interested in public, environmental, and health economics. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Aarhus University, and an M.Sc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from The London School of Economics.
His specific topics of interest include how exposure to environmental pollutants, such as pesticides used in agriculture, affect health- and labor market outcomes and how public policies can address these effects. He also works on projects related to taxation and innovation, specifically how to measure general equilibrium effects of tax policy and technology adoption.
