In mid-June, diplomatic history scholars from around the world gathered in beautiful Istanbul for two days to discuss ten chapter drafts for the upcoming volume.

Hosted by the Swedish Research Institute on the premises of the former Swedish Consulate in Pera, the workshop offered an ideal environment for discussing the ideas behind the book and new and exciting ways to write early modern diplomatic history. Hence, the editors are pleased with the progress of the book.
