Stockholm University, located in the only urban national park in the world, is the biggest university in Sweden. Internationally prominent research and education related to the environment are conducted at the University in the scientific, social and interdisciplinary disciplines. The goal is to be the leader in education and research related to the environment and sustainable development.

In order to bring direct and indirect negative environmental impact to light and work in a structured manner to reduce this impact, Stockholm University complies with the standards provided in the generally accepted environmental management systems ISO 14001 (2004) and EMAS, which entail a commitment to continuous improvement of environmental performance.

Aimed at increasing positive environmental impact, Stockholm University must create awareness and commitment to environmental issues within the University and the local community.
