Application

Students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland are required to pay both an application fee and a tuition fee. More information here
Assessment of merits - motivation letter
In ranking the applicants for programmes at the Department of Sociology, three components are used to assess the merits of applicants. One of them is a motivation letter. Please find a web form to use for the motivation letter and more information here.
Admission
Around 3 April 2020 you will receive a notification from Univesityadmission / Antagningen regarding your admission. No reply to them is necessary for this notification. The students that are admitted will after the 3 of April receive an email from the Department of Sociology with more information. Please note, the email from the department contains very important information for the admitted students if you want to keep your admission to one of our master's programmes.
Students on waiting list will be contacted by email if we have places left
You can do it online at Ladok for students between 10-23 of August. It is important that you register on time, otherwise you will lose your place!
To be able to register you need a University account.
International students with a temporary Swedish civic number (containing a P or a T) must get a one-time code to be able to activate the University account. Normally you can pick up the one-time code from the Info centre. If you’ll be a distance student at the beginning and therefore not being able to pick up the one-time code from the Info centre, please email master@sociology.su.se for help. We’ll be able to help you with a one-time code from week 32.
Find us
You can find us at Universitetsvägen 10B, floor 8 and 9 in one of the "blue houses" called "södra huset" (the south house) in entrance B. Please see a map here.
