Join us for an SCGG seminar on September 10 (12:00–13:30) featuring Paul Beaumont, Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).

Since April 2025, he has led the ERC Starting Grant–funded project Navigating the Era of Indicators.

More broadly, Paul's research interests include IR theory, the (dis)functioning of international institutions, dubious quantified performance indicators, global environmental politics, nuclear weapons, hierarchies in world politics, and pluralist research methods — according to his profile on NUPI’s website.

Dr. Beaumont will be joining us in Stockholm, already on September 9, to offer comments and reflections on PhD candidate Axel Nordenstam’s 80% seminar, held at the Department of Economic History and International Relations.
